Javier Martín Reyes, a researcher at the UNAM Institute of Legal Research, stated that the online entrance exam model implemented by Territorium Life “simply didn’t work.” He pointed out that the results showed atypical patterns which, according to expert analysis, suggest possible undue support during the exam, especially in high-demand fields like Medicine. Martín Reyes defended the implementation of an in-person control exam as a necessary measure to distinguish between those who obtained legitimate results and those who may have benefited from irregularities. He also rejected the position of Minister Lenia Batres, who described admitting only the highest scores as “neoliberal,” and maintained that the real problem is the lack of sufficient public higher education options with quality equivalent to UNAM.
