In the Tokai region, some areas, particularly Gifu Prefecture, are experiencing significant rainfall. There is a risk of further heavy rain until evening. In the Tokai region, intermittent influx of rain clouds has resulted in moderately heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms, with 17 mm in Nagoya and 19.5 mm in Aisai in the hour leading up to just after 2 AM. In Gifu Prefecture, significant rainfall has been observed in various locations, including 110.5 mm in Takayama and 114 mm in Kiyomi, Takayama City, in the 24 hours leading up to around 5 AM. Yesterday evening, the Japan Meteorological Agency issued a "Half-Day Prediction of Linear Rainband" for Aichi, Gifu, Mie, and Shizuoka prefectures. They are warning of the possibility of a linear rainband forming between now and midday, which could rapidly increase the risk of heavy rain-related disasters.
