Restoring a 40-Year-Old Abandoned Soviet Van Found in the Forest | Start to Finish

I found a 40-year-old Soviet UAZ Bukhanka abandoned deep in the forest and restored it completely — body, interior, engine, gearbox, everything. The van was exactly where time left it — rusted, seized, forgotten. I started from the outside: stripped the body, treated the metal, rebuilt what couldn't be saved. Wheels, brakes, suspension — every mechanical system pulled apart and gone through by hand. Then the engine and gearbox, the parts that decide whether it moves at all. Interior stripped to bare metal and rebuilt from scratch — new panels, new surfaces, everything fitted the way it should have left the factory. No shortcuts, no trailer home.
