This heavy rain is due to active rain clouds associated with the autumn rain front and a cold front. This heavy rain will not continue in the same location indefinitely; in Aomori Prefecture, the peak is expected to pass in about 2-3 hours, after which the rain clouds are expected to weaken and move southward. However, as the cold front moves southward during the day, there is a risk of heavy or torrential rain accompanied by thunderstorms, mainly in Akita Prefecture. The area with the heaviest rain is expected to shift to the vicinity of Akita and Iwate Prefectures around noon. Even in areas where the peak of the rain has passed, such as Aomori Prefecture, the rain will not completely stop, and the ground may still be unstable due to the heavy rainfall that has occurred so far.
