Concrete Post Anchor: https://thehomedepotcreator.sjv.io/X4... I have installed dozens of posts over the past few years and there are many different ways to install them. The best post setting method depends on your project - And In this video, I am going to walk you through the 4 most common Post Setting Methods: Method 1: Dry Concrete Post Setting This method is by far the fastest and easiest. Simply dig a hole, place the post, and then dump in a full back of dry concrete. Next, pour water over the concrete and that's it! This method is good for quick and dirty projects, but the concrete at the bottom of the post does not typically mix well. Method 2: Expansion Foam Expansion Foam is one of the newer methods for setting posts in the ground. It's a great option because it requires a much smaller hole than concrete because the foam sets up quickly and easily. The only downside is that it is typically a bit more expensive than concrete. Method 3: Wet Concrete Post Setting This method is very similar to Method 1, except the concrete is mixed before it is added to the hole. This ensures a more solid post installation Method 4: Structural Post Setting For Structural Applications like decks, etc. I recommend that you don't put the post in the ground at all. Instead, use a concrete form tube to create a solid concrete footing that extends 3"-6" above the ground. Then, you simply attach the post to the concrete using hardware. Although all of these options are effective, the best method depends entirely on your specific project application. I hope this information was helpful!
