President Prabowo's presence in Vladivostok was at the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to attend as chief guest of honor at the 11th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), held at the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). At the airport, President Prabowo was greeted by the Vice Governor of the Primorye Region, Said Yusupov, and the Minister of Foreign Relations of Vladivostok, Konstantin Sidorenko. The Head of State was also welcomed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, Jose Antonio Morato Tavares, the Defense Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow, Air Marshal Budi Susilo, and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Indonesia in Vladivostok, Anton Zubkho. The Head of State's visit to Vladivostok is part of the strengthening of relations between Indonesia and Russia, which continue to grow in various fields. The President's presence as the chief guest of honor also reflects the close relationship between the two countries. Previously, in 2025, the President also attended as a guest of honor at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
