Years ago, he moved back home to care for his mother in her final years. After she passed away, Freddy made it his mission to save the house she loved. He got a job driving a school bus. He installed gutters himself. He replaced the HVAC system. He worked weekends and saved every dollar he could. But sometimes, no matter how hard you work, the list of things that need fixing keeps getting longer. When neighbors told us about Freddy, they all said the same thing: “He’s the kind of guy who would help anybody.” So we decided it was time somebody helped Freddy. What happened next, none of us expected. In the middle of the roof replacement, the skies opened up and rain started pouring down. With Freddy’s home exposed and a storm moving in, the pressure was on. Would we get the roof dried in before it was too late?
