The Government has announced it will undertake a detailed business case on options for an additional Auckland harbour crossing. The infrastructure project will likely be the largest and most expensive ever undertaken in New Zealand, with a decision to be made next year. But the Transport Agency has already completed a business case and endorsed a tunnel option, and there are questions about what the $100 million already spent on consulting has actually delivered.
