However, the summit has already sparked many controversies. When US Secretary of Treasury Scott Bessent began his address, Canada's Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne was seen walking out of the room. Several European Ministers protested the inclusion of Russia and forced the US to remove the Russian Finance Minister from the G20 Finance Ministers' family photo. Meanwhile, South Africa has not been invited by the US, despite being a member as US President Donald Trump continues to feud with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
