“I Can't Wait Till You Take His Job": LBJ's Daughter ENDORSES James Talarico

On LBJ's birthday, I sat down with his daughter, Luci Baines Johnson. Luci talked about her father's faith, his belief that Texans are a ‘can do’ people, and the day she stood beside him as an 18-year-old when he signed the Voting Rights Act into law. She talked about the Great Society: Title One schools, Medicare, civil rights, and other accomplishments we've taken for granted that are now under attack. Then she gave me a gift. A “Can Do” nameplate, a copy of the one LBJ gave Lady Bird that sat on her desk for the rest of her life. I'm running for LBJ's Senate seat to continue his fight for education, healthcare, and economic opportunity for every Texan. I'm honored to be in this fight with Luci.
