L'amica di Valentina, morta a Roma con il marito e la figlia disabile: "Non si dava pace"

"She couldn't believe her little girl's disability." Feliciana still can't believe her friend Valentina and her entire family are gone. She had spoken to her one last time last Friday, then sent her a text on Saturday without receiving a response. "It seemed strange to me because usually both she and her husband responded within minutes, so I sent her another text yesterday, but she only gave me a tick. In the meantime, the news had come out about an entire family being found dead in their home. I didn't want to believe it, but as soon as I saw the photos of the house, I understood everything." Feliciana can't explain how this could have happened and wonders if she could have done anything more: "We feel incredulous and helpless in the face of such a terrible tragedy. I wonder if there were some signs I didn't see or pick up on." While Feliciana from Madrid was unsuccessfully trying to contact her friend, firefighters were entering the home of Valentina Pambianco and Luca Abbasciano, in the Pietralata neighborhood, where they discovered the bodies of the father, mother, daughter, and dog. The bodies were lying on the double bed, all shot. They were killed by a Glock pistol later found in the home and duly registered by Luca. To date, the most likely hypothesis, and one that appears almost certain, is murder-suicide. Supporting this theory are the numerous letters found inside the home, written with their last wishes and instructions to relatives and friends. Feliana and her husband had met Valentina and Luca first on social media and then in person on the other side of the world, specifically in Mexico. Both couples had traveled to Mexico for experimental treatments not recognized in Italy. They had begun seeing each other regularly for about a year, despite one couple living in Rome and the other in Naples. They supported each other and exchanged advice and hopes to face the most difficult days together.
