In the 60s, hippies began moving to Vermont, drawn by its rural landscape and independent spirit. We wanted to find out what that movement left behind and how it shaped Vermont today. What we found was a state still defined by its independent nature but also one grappling with a homelessness epidemic; and a bit further north, an anarchist puppet commune.
