We Took Our Boat to Canada for the First Time

We’re taking our boat to another country for the first time! Today, we leave Clayton, New York and cross the border by boat into Canada, navigating the St. Lawrence River to Kingston, Ontario. But crossing an international border on your own boat isn’t quite as simple as pulling into a marina. We have to figure out where to go, officially check into Canada, and get our first taste of cruising Canadian waters. Once we get cleared into custom, we need to tackle an unexpected boat project before continuing our 6,000-mile adventure around America’s waterways.
